Educators are innovators.

At BirthBox our primary goal is to lower the infant mortality rate throughout communities in developing nations and across lower socioeconomic groups. Though not any single solution can solve this complex issue, our approach aims at lowering mortality rates through education, bonding and empowerment. We hope to equip mothers and caregivers during birth, infancy and early childhood growth and development with the practical tools and confidence needed to help the next generation reach it’s full potential by supporting them at their most vulnerable today.

Our desire is to demystify pregnancy, birthing and early childhood through partnering with community birthing professionals who are able to sustainably lead and serve their communities, while utilizing The BrithBox™ Toolkit and The BirthBox™ Sleep System, to create long term change and progressively decreasing infant mortality rates. We believe childbirth education empowers women with the confidence and ability to make informed choices regarding their reproductive decisions, childbirth experience, and bonding and healthcare decisions related to their baby – these early decisions are vital in the upbringing of inspired children.

We also believe that community engagement and support is key. The strength found in the support of peers and mentors is integral to program success; therefore, we aim to bring together mothers and caregivers through our public Safer Birth, Family Bonding and Family Planning educational campaigns creating an environment that is woman, child, and birth friendly.

Participation in the educational campaigns is encouraged through the use of The BirthBox™ Sleep System as an incentive given to those who complete the training courses. The BirthBox™ Sleep System contains practical support tools designed to compliment the educational campaigns and provides every child with a safe and clean sleeping environment - eliminating the sanitation and hygiene issues associated with sleeping on the ground or in the same environment as small livestock.
