The Toolkit

The BirthBox™ Toolkit was designed to be supplemental to routine prenatal and postnatal healthcare. The handouts are reproduced with permissions and may be downloaded and printed by an expectant mother or support partner. The content selected is meant to equip women and support partners with valuable information needed to feel empowered in decisions related to Safer Birth, Family Planning, and Family Bonding.   More information →

The Sleep System

The BirthBox™ Sleep System was created in response to global infant mortality rates. Across the developing world, but especially so in Sub-Saharan Africa, children are dying of predominantly preventable and treatable causes. UNICEF predicts 7.6 million children under the age of five will die this year with an additional 200 million surviving “without the ability to reach their full human potential.” Disease is often caused by a lack of access to safe drinking water and unsanitary sleep conditions – often whole families share a sleep space with small livestock.  More information →
