Safer Birth

At BirthBox, the Safer Birth educational campaign is key in decreasing the infant mortality rate. Though the birthing process can seem overwhelming, especially for first time mothers and their birth partners, there are simple techniques that can be utilized to empower and encourage women with a birth experience where they feel safe and in control. Family Planning

Understanding family planning is a vital part of empowering parents and communities to safely plan for and care for their children. These types of conversations must always be approached in a culturally sensitive way, but are important topics for parent and future parents to understand. Click below for FREE downloadable versions of the Family Planning handouts.

Dedicated to change.

In March of 2013, our first daughter was born. With her birth came the birth of our family and began our journey of parenthood. We are convinced, after our short five years of parenting, nothing can fully prepare you for the responsibility of raising the next generation; however, when we learned, from UNICEF, 1 in 12 children will die before the age of 5 in Sub-Saharan Africa from predominantly preventable and treatable causes, we were furious and knew had to act.
